A Simple Dream and an Eternal Vow
Our group did not begin with massive capital, but with a single phone call in 2005. It was a call from an expatriate father, filled with pride for his son who had just enrolled in the Faculty of Commerce. The father’s greatest hope was to return from his travels to see his son walking toward the university gates. Despite his wife’s pleas to return and enjoy the fruits of his labor, the father would delay, saying: “Not yet, not until I have secured a dignified life for him”.
When the father finally decided to return two years after that call, fate was faster. His long-awaited leave became his final departure, passing away before he could enjoy his rest or witness his life’s dream come true.
The Turning Point: Rising Through Adversity
With the father’s passing, the son lost his support and protection, facing a relentless series of challenges leading up to 2013. This was the year of the ultimate collapse; the son lost everything—materially and emotionally. Amid the unjustified abandonment and hostility of those closest to him, he was viewed by all as a failure by every objective measure.
Yet, in that defining moment, a choice had to be made: surrender to the reality of loss, or summon the strength and faith to stand against these challenges. It was then that the son remembered his father’s call and his simple, profound passion to see him at the university.
